Join the Choir as a Singer

New members are always welcome.

The first thing to do is to contact our membership secretary so that you can decide which rehearsal suits you best for your first visit.  On that evening, you will be introduced to a buddy/mentor and given a set of music, so that you can see what we are learning.

You can then take your time in deciding whether you wish to join the choir.  If you do, we shall ask you to do a simple audition in private.  This usually requires you to sing a song of your choice that we are rehearsing and there will be a check of your vocal range to make sure that you join the voice part that is right for you.

Once you join the choir, you agree with the Musical Director when to sing in your first concert.  As we learn our music by heart, there is sometimes a bit more time required before you join us on the stage.

Join the Choir as a Friend of the Stuart Singers (FOSS)

It may be that you would like to support the choir but do not want to join as a singer.  We have a Friends scheme which allows you to pay a small annual subscription in return for reduced priced tickets to our "home" concerts in Minchinhampton and invitations to our social events.
